Talawanda has a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) program for all students.  In elementary school, students will have STEM experiences in their classroom from kindergarten to second grade using resources from the curriculum of FOSS (Full Option Science System)

From third to fifth grade, students will also be exposed to the FOSS system, plus have over twenty hours of STEM instruction from the district's Elementary STEM Instructor, Heidi Sebald and their classroom teacher.  This program focuses on empathy, perseverance, grit, collaboration, and learning from one's failures.  These characteristics are paramount in the program while students experience hands-on experiences related to STEM fields.

Talawanda offers courses at TMS & THS that students can elect to take to further their STEM learning.  The middle school offers courses in Historical Engineering & STEM .  The high school offers courses in Engineering (available for college credit), GameMaker Programming, Advanced Game Programming (available for college credit), Digital Productions, and Digital Media.
