About the Board:
The Talawanda City Board of Education strives to provide a safe, nurturing learning environment for all students in order to enhance student achievement. Our mission is to establish, review, and implement policies that support the district and its Strategic Plan. Building public trust with all of the districts stakeholders is critical. The board fulfills this responsibility by setting policy, selecting executive officers to implement policies, and by evaluating the results. The board must accomplish this while being responsible with the wise management of resources available. In addition, the board functions openly, seeking the involvement and contributions of the public, staff, and students in its decision-making processes.

- Support achievement for all students.
- Support athletics and extracurricular opportunities that enhance student experiences.
- Plan for the sound financial future of TSD.
- Prioritize the safety, health, wellness (mental health needs) of students and staff.
- Continue to develop capital improvement plans for the district.
- Continue to communicate and improve information dissemination to the public.
