TMS student, Mary Perkins, has been selected to attend this year’s Rose Bowl Parade, as part of the Northwest Mutual float and parade attraction.  Mary is very excited and will be taking her cousin, Nina Friedline, with her to enjoy this experience.  Mary has shown strength, perseverance, and grace throughout her life while battling cancer.  Most recently, Mary has had brain surgery to address a tumor that developed.  A highlight in Mary’s life has been the opportunity to attend the Cancer Institute At Children’s Hospital’s summer camp- Camp Joy!  It is through this connection that Mary was able to be connected to the Rose Bowl Parade.

This year will be the 129th year of this tradition, and the parade will take place on Monday, January 1, 2018 in beautiful Pasadena, CA!  The Talawanda community will be watching for sightings of Mary on tv!
