TMS Lockdown Today & Student Threats

This morning the TMS administration learned of a potential threat that a student made towards another TMS student, and as a result TMS was placed on modified lockdown, which is an external lockdown with no visitors permitted inside the building.  The local police and School Resource Officer began an investigation.  The student, who was not in attendance at TMS today, was apprehended and the lockdown at TMS was lifted shortly after.  The threat from this morning was determined to not be credible, no charges were filed, however the student was transitioned to the Butler County Juvenile Detention Center due to an unrelated probation violation.

At the close of the school day the Oxford Police were notified that another student from TMS had made threatening comments towards the occupants of the school. That separate threat was investigated and the juvenile was taken into custody.  This juvenile was charged with making terroristic threats and transported to the Butler County Juvenile Detention Center.

All students and staff were safe and not in any danger related to these alleged threats today.
