School News and Information

Happy Friday!  We have had a great week at Marshall!  The students are learning the rules, routines, and procedures of their classrooms and the building.  Some of the students have taken their MAP assessments and some great lessons are being taught in the classroom.  We are off to a great start!  Today we surprised the students with snow cones at recess. Just a reminder:  We are “Snow” Glad You are Here!

Looking ahead, students will have a 4-day week for the next two weeks.  Students will be off of school on Friday, September 2, 2022, for a district PD day.  Students will also be off of school on Monday, September 5, 2022, for Labor Day.

The school day begins at 9:30  am and we will finish at 4:15 pm. (3:30 on Wednesdays).  Students may be dropped off and enter the building starting at 9:15 am.  Our first early dismissal Wednesday will be August 17th at 3:30.

Please use the link below to see the morning and afternoon drop-off and pick-up procedures.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures  IMPORTANT REMINDER:  For the safety of your child, children should exit/enter the car on the passenger side onto/from the sidewalk.  It is important to keep the line moving so if your child needs a little extra help exiting the car in the morning it would be best to arrive closer to 9:25 when most of the line is already finished.

Lunch Time

It would be helpful to have your child’s name written in or on your child’s lunch box.  If it gets left behind we can get it to the right person.  When it turns cooler and students have jackets and coats it would also be helpful to have their names written on a tag.  Thank you for helping us get items back to their owner.

TSD Breakfast and Lunch Program

For the past two school years, the USDA has offered waivers to food service programs across the US allowing us to offer all students a breakfast and lunch at no charge.  Unfortunately, these waivers expired June 30, 2022.  This means that families will be asked to complete and submit a Meal Benefits Application for the 2022-23 school year.  With the waivers, breakfast and lunch were free.  This year if students do not qualify for free/reduced lunch, they must pay.  The prices are listed below:

Student Meal Pricing

Breakfast - $1.50

Lunch - Elementary $2.75

Milk (Individual) - $.60

The Marshall Lunch Menu is posted on the website linked here.

Students must have their breakfast card to get a breakfast in the morning.  These cards were given out at the beginning of the year and should be kept in one location of the student’s backpack.
