Marshall Elementary Weekly E-News

March 12, 2021

A Peaceful, Productive, Healthy, and Happy Community

The mission of Marshall Elementary is to work as a community to achieve higher levels of thinking and learning by empowering every learner everyday.  Thank you to everyone for joining the remote sessions yesterday.

School News and Information

Happy Friday!  We had another great week.  It was wonderful to have the warmer weather - hope it continues.  Our new building is coming along and we have started the packing process.  Students will begin to see more and more boxes as well as things coming down off the walls.  As a reminder April 28 will be our last day for in person learning at Marshall.  April 29 and April 30 will be asynchronous learning days as staff finish the final packing and relocation of materials.  Beginning May 3 classes will meet via Zoom for remote learning - schedules for each grade level will be distributed soon.  We know that this is not an ideal way to end the school year but without this change we would not be able to start next year until the end of September or beginning of October.  When it is all done we will have a wonderful new facility and the start of a new school year hopefully more like normal.

Early this week, I shared information with you about a childcare option through the YMCA and located at the Fitton Family Y in Hamilton that is available during this time of remote learning.  Here is the flyer.

This will be our last E-News until after Spring Break.  The last day for TSD students before Spring Break is Friday, March 19, 2021.  Students will return to school on Monday, March 29, 2021.

The cost for a full-color 2020-2021 Marshall Elementary School Yearbook is $15.00.  All orders must be ordered and prepaid online. In order to be sure we include all available pictures we have moved the delivery date of the yearbook to the beginning of next school year - this will give us a deadline that will allow us to make sure each student is included in the yearbook.

Order your yearbook today using our school Yearbook ID Code:  7397821

For our at-home learners: We know many of you were not here for picture day so please send an individual photo of your child with a plain background, your name, and teacher to Mrs. South, so we can add your bright and smiling face to the yearbook!  We need pictures by the end of the week.

Bus Reminder - Regarding Mask

Please remember that your child must wear their mask at all times while on the school bus.  Students need to have them on before boarding the bus - it may be helpful to place a back up mask in their backpack.  Our drivers have a very limited supply of emergency masks available to hand out to students who do not have a mask.  Drivers will refer students to the office who repeatedly show up to the bus without a mask on.  Thank you for your cooperation and help in keeping everyone safe and in school.
