KRAMER E-NEWS 9/11/2020

Happy Friday!  We hope you have had a great week.  I was able to jump into some classrooms this week and watch some lessons.  I am impressed with the student engagement and the digital responsibility of everyone!  The Kramer staff has done a great job working on routines and procedures and that is now paying off in instruction.  Great job Kramer staff and students (also parents)!

Some families have asked about the attendance policy.  Here is the statement from the Remote Learning Handbook.  Please make sure you are in communication with your child’s teacher with any attendance issues or questions.

School closure has caused us to think creatively as how to ensure that our students are ready for the next grade level. Attendance and accountability for learning are important during the school closure. Our administrators and teachers will contact students and parents through personal phone calls and virtual sessions to determine family needs.  Attendance will be determined in various ways, including: completed work, online contacts through Zoom, Google Classroom, and SeeSaw. If students are not completing work or participating in learning, teachers will be contacting parents, principals, counselors, and social workers to work with families to develop plans for student engagement based on the needs of each student. The lack of attendance and work completion will have a negative impact on student grades. Office hours for teachers will be held on a consistent basis in order to accommodate students whom the daily schedule does not meet.

Fall Food Program

Every Monday evening, families may come to one of our sites to pick up 5 breakfasts & 5 lunches.  An adult must be present.

We were just notified that we can provide free meals to ALL students through December beginning the week of September 13th!  The federal government has provided us with a waiver.  The great news is we will be able to continue to provide 5 days of meals on each Monday.   However, this Monday (due to it being a holiday), meals will be provided on Tuesday.  Thank you to all the staff that are working hard on preparing, packing, delivering, and supporting our students.
