Kramer Enews 4/26/24

School News and Information

Happy Friday, we had another great week at school!  There are a number of repeat items in E-News this week, with a few new items added toward the end of E-News.

Our 4th graders have completed both the reading and math portions of their testing.  Our 3rd graders and 5th graders will finish up state testing next week.

Parents, please note that students from 3rd through 12th grade are either currently taking the Ohio State Tests. Teachers will remind students the day before they are scheduled to test. Kindly ensure that your child arrives at school on time to begin the tests promptly.  Thank you for your support.

Kindergarten Information

If you missed kindergarten registration day, please contact the main office to schedule an appointment to screen your child for the 2024-25 school year.

Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (S-EBT)

Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (S-EBT):  Ohio is a participating state in this new summer cash benefit program.  Children certified for free and/or reduced meals in the 2023-2024 school year, or otherwise participating in SNAP, Ohio Works First, or who meet the income criteria for free or reduced meals within the Medicaid program qualify for this summer program.

If you would like to participate in the S-EBT program, your child must have a free and reduced form approved/certified (online at Payschools or paper application turned in at your child's school) by the last day of school in order to receive a payment from the State of Ohio.

If you have any questions you may call the Treasurer's Office at 513-273-3100.

They will have a formal check-in table, where we will also be collecting gently used/new books to donate to the Oxford Lane Library. Event activities include a variety of crafts, gym time, a movie, board games, and carnival games.

We have attached a flyer for the event. The QR code on the flyer will lead to the form for registration, but here is the link: https://forms.gle/zdJLEiUiP9sHxSqC6

Lions Club Spring Eyeglass Collection- Mrs. Beaton & Mrs. Tafelski

The Oxford Lions Club Sight Saving Committee is collecting used eyeglasses, as well as glasses cases! These glasses and cases are donated all over the world to children who are in need. The lenses and frames from the donated glasses are modified to meet individual children's eye needs. Every year, Oxford Lions Club collects and sends 900-plus pairs of glasses to children in need!

Please send any glasses donations to Betsy Beaton (Marshall Elementary School) or Shaunna Tafelski (Board Office) by mid-May We are happy to swing by and pick up glasses donations or they can be dropped off at Marshall or the Board Office. Thank you for supporting the Oxford Lions Club! :)

Final Forms Update and Reminder

TSD will prompt parents in the first week of August to begin updating their child's school forms for the 2024-25 school year.  We know sometimes parents begin doing this early, but it's important to wait for the prompt from the district, as some forms will be changing for next school year.  The updates will be made in July after all of the summer programs are completed.
