TSD Communications Update from Holli Morrish

Talawanda School District- Directory Opt-Out Form has been updated

Per Board Policy 8330, the District has designated the following information about each student as "directory information":

A student's name; address; telephone number; date and place of birth; major field of study; participation in officially-recognized activities and sports; height and weight, if a member of an athletic team; dates of attendance; date of graduation; and awards received.

The Board will make directory information available upon a legitimate request unless a parent, guardian, or adult student notifies the District in writing by returning this form to the school where his/her child attends within 10 days of the receipt of this annual notice. Halloween at Kramer

Looking ahead please don’t forget:

We will be celebrating Halloween on Thursday, October 31st. Costumes will be permitted with the following guidelines:

No Masks
No Props
Minimal Makeup
Costumes must be worn to school. There will not be a “change time”. Please make sure that your child will be able to function comfortably throughout the day (bathroom needs, recess, school work, specials) while wearing his/her costume.

Halloween times will vary. Please check with your child’s teacher about their classroom party plans.

Kids Night Out: GLOW PARTY

November 1st from 6pm-9pm

What is Kids Night Out? Kids Night Out is a fun night of dodgeball, movies, crafts, games, and an end of the night dance party! The cost is $10 per student. Kids will be supervised by Miami athletic teams/student groups and PTG volunteers. There will also be an OPD officer present.

A release form (on back) must be signed when dropping off your child(ren). Your child must be signed out when you pick them up and photo ID shown. If noted on the release form ahead of time, someone other than the parent/guardian may pick up the child, if the parent wishes.

Please note there will be some snack food, but they should eat dinner before arriving.

You may drop your child(ren) off at 6:00 and pick them up no later than 9:00pm. Drop off and pick up will happen at the doors in the bus loop. You WILL NOT be able to enter the gym doors.

Composting at Kramer

A local group, Defending Democracy is asking for volunteers from Miami and the community to come in for a one-hour time slot during lunch and help the kids learn which items can be composted and which items cannot. The buckets of compost will be taken to Oxford's bin composting site during a trial period
