Happy Friday and Happy New Year!  We hope you’ve had a great holiday season. Students will resume classes on Monday, January 8, 2024. 

 

Winter Weather Season

 

Martin Luther King Jr. Creative Arts Exposition

 

Talawanda Baseball

Winter Clinic:

January 14th and 15th

9:00 AM-11:30 AM

 

THS Baseball will proudly offer a two-day baseball clinic for boys and girls in grades K-8. The current varsity and junior varsity staff and players will instruct players on the basics and intricacies of hitting, fielding, throwing, and pitching/catching, as well as offensive and defensive situations.

 

What you need to bring: baseball glove, water bottle, bat and helmet

Players will be grouped by age and skill to ensure safety and proper instruction

 

Registration can be completed--online or in-person (at the registration table on January 14)--until the first day of the clinic, but you must register by January 5th to receive a Talawanda Baseball Clinic T-Shirt!

 

Location: THS Gymnasium 

One-Day Cost (Please specify the day on the linked form): $30*

Two-Day Cost: $50* (take $10 off for each additional family member after the first)

Girls on the Run

Families with girls in 3-5 grade, keep your eyes peeled for flyers for Bogan’s Girls on the Run program.  Sign ups will start at the end of January.  More info coming soon!

Attendance Reminder 

ABSENCE FROM SCHOOL PROCEDURES 

Before 8:30 a.m. on the day of absence, a parent/guardian should call the Attendance line, Bogan Office at 513-273-3400, to report a student absent from school. This line is available 24 hours a day. If a parent has called the Attendance line, a written note WILL NOT be necessary. 

If a call has not been received, the Office will begin making home phone calls to missing students by 8:30 a.m. in compliance with the Missing Child Act. 

 

Students who have not been called in and wish to have his/her absence excused MUST, within 5 school days, present a note stating the date(s) of absence, reason of absence, and parent/guardian signature. Parents may excuse their child for a total of TEN days each school year. After TEN days of parent excuses, all absences will be considered UNEXCUSED unless supported by a doctor 's note. Vacation days may be excused as part of the 10 total Parent notes.
