School News and Information:
Parents,
Happy Friday!! We had a fun week celebrating the Cincinnati Bengals’ trip to the Super Bowl. WHO DEY!
TMS CONFERENCES ARE COMING UP!! Conferences will be held via Zoom.
Thursday, February 24 - 3:30pm to 6:45pm
Thursday, March 3 - 3:30 to 6:45pm
Please call the office if you would like to schedule a conference. You can call TMS’ office at 513.273.3301 or 513.273-3302 to schedule. The conference, again to be held via Zoom, will be 15 minutes long and your child’s team of teachers will be attending the conference.

Attention all parents of 6th grade students
All students entering the 7th grade in the fall of 2022 are required by Ohio School Law to show proof of the following immunizations BEFORE the start of the school year:
Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis) vaccine
MCV4 (meningococcal) vaccine
Please check with your medical provider to see if your student has had these immunizations. You can have them fax the updated shot record directly to the school at 513.273.3303.
If your student has not had these immunizations, please contact your doctor of the Health Department to schedule an appointment. The Health Department provides vaccines for a nominal charge. No one will be denied vaccination at the Health Department for inability to pay.
These vaccines can be obtained at any time from now until the first day of 7th grade. As soon as the required immunizations are obtained, please bring a copy of your child’s shot record to school OR have your provider fax the shot record directly to TMS so that your child’s record can be updated.

Oxford Multicultural Family Alliance (OMFA) is a local group looking to empower diverse students in Oxford to achieve their full potential by providing support, advocacy and influencing policy. The Talawanda Health Coordinating Council is committed to creating a healthier community by addressing non-academic barriers to learning, building upon family and community strengths, and involving families and other members in phases of student success.
Prevention Action Alliance, the leading prevention agency in Ohio, has created a series of short articles on Marijuana and Health. We hope these articles are helpful to our families in providing factual information.
The first one we would like to share is Marijuana and Mental Health: Too Many Misconceptions.

TMS’ doors do not get unlocked until 7:40am.

It is expected that students will bring their chromebook CHARGED to school
-If your child is absent from school for any reason, please to check Google Classroom or email teachers for missing assignments.

If your child is going to be absent, please notify the office by 9am by calling 513.273.3300 and following the prompts to the attendance line.

FEES: School fees can be paid on the TSD’s website via EZPay or you can send a check and have your child drop it off in the main office. Please remember that the Chromebook insurance fee cannot be waived. If you have any questions regarding fees, please call 513.273.3305.
