School News and Information

The weekend is almost here.  We had a great week even though it was a little rainy.  State testing continues next week for grades 3-5.  3rd Grade will test on Tuesday, 4th Grade will test on Wednesday and Thursday, and 5th Grade will test on Wednesday and Thursday as well.

Remember there is no school on April 15th and April 18th for students.

For 5th Grade Families - 6th Grade Band Fitting- Mr. Marston

We will be having a band instrument fitting on Tuesday, April 12 from 4-7 at the middle school. This is for students who plan to be in the beginning band next year to try instruments and decide what they would like to play. Please use this link to access the flyer.

Education and Sharing Day

The Talawanda School District marks the 120th birthday of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, by proclaiming April 12th, “Education and Sharing Day.” The City of Oxford has also shared a declaration and proclamation for this event.  This day is devoted to recognizing the importance of education and sharing in the lives of our students.

Tuesdays, 4pm - 7pm

Drop off and Pick Up Reminders

Please work with your child on being able to exit the car on their own.  We have seen an increase of parents getting out of the car to get their child out.  This creates a safety concern as well as slows down the drop up and pick up process.  Also please remember to pull forward and fill in all available space in the line so that we can keep the line as short as possible and keep the line moving.  Please make sure you have your name sign displayed so we can easily enter the names for the correct pick up order.  Thank you for your help.

Fees

Chromebook/IPad insurance cannot be waived.  School fees can be paid on the Talawanda website via EZPay or by sending a check to school with your child.  Please include the child’s name in the memo.

Absences

If your child is going to be absent, please call the Marshall Attendance Line @ 513-273-3600 by 10:00 a.m.

TSD Lunch Program

The National Lunch Program has extended the free meal status for all students for breakfast and lunch for the 2021-2022 school year.  It is still important to turn in the Free/Reduced Lunch Application in order to qualify for other benefits.

April Elementary Lunch Menu - Changes may be announced during the month due to delivery issues.
