Marshall Elementary Weekly E-News

December 2, 2022

School News and Information

Happy Friday, it is hard to believe it is December!  We have had a great week at Marshall.  The students and staff have been working hard and great lessons are going on in the classrooms.  We had a great 3rd Grade Concert on Wednesday!  The students did so well even with the disruptions to the schedule that limited their preparation time.  Thank you for a wonderful evening students and Mr. Menezes.  We have our 2nd Grade concert this Wednesday - we will see you there.

The weather has turned cooler.  If you need assistance with warmer clothing items (hats, gloves, coats), please reach out to Marshall social worker, Mrs. Rolfes or Mr. Hinton.  We will be happy to assist you.

Also, please mark your child's names in their items.  We have a number of jackets, sweatshirts, hats and gloves in the lost and found.  If your child is missing some items, please have them check the lost and found in the cafeteria - we have several items currently in the lost and found.

From the Marshall PTG

Our Kids Night Out that was being planned for December 9th is being moved to January 13th.  The THS National Honor Society is sponsoring one on the same night and we wanted to give our 3rd to 5th graders the opportunity to attend that event with friends from the other 2 elementary schools.  See information below.

The THS chapter of NHS is putting on a "Kids Night Out" on December 9th, for 3rd through 5th graders from all three elementary schools

Use this link to the RAH recording Sheet  For our upper level readers, chapter books count as 1 book for every 25 pages of the chapter book read.  One of the best ways for children to grow in their reading is to read.  Just like the expression goes - practice makes perfect.
