KRAMER E-NEWS 10/23/2020

School News and Information

Happy Friday Everyone!  We have completed our first week of having two options for our families, both Face to Face and Remote Learning.  Our Remote Learners have been able to meet new classmates and possibly a new teacher.  Our Face to Face Learners have done a great job of learning all the new routines and procedures that must be followed to keep each of us safe.  We will continue to remind students to wear their mask, covering their mouth and nose.  Remember if the mask is a little too big you can tie a knot in the ear loops so it fits a little better and stays up.  In addition, we will continue to remind students to use good hand hygiene and to keep their hands away from their face.  We worked on social distancing and how to create space in the classroom and hallway.

In addition, if your child has any signs or symptoms please keep your child at home as a precaution.  It is especially important that if you have knowingly been exposed to someone with the COVID-19 virus that you quarantine for 14 days.  Please Note:  if a student comes to school who has been exposed and then they test positive, this may cause an entire class to be in quarantine for 14 days in addition to the health risk of possibly exposing others.  Thank you for helping everyone remain safe and healthy.

Elementary Schedule

Students 9:30 - 4:15

Half Day 9:30 - 12:15

Early Dismissal Weds 9:30-3:30

Elementary Lunch Menu

Don’t forget to send a water bottle with your child to school.  We have bottle filling stations at Kramer and the students can refill their water bottles.  Also, if your child is packing their lunch, please place their first and last name on the lunchbox.

Arrival and Dismissal

Please use this document for arrival and dismissal at Kramer.

We will have all cars that are dropping off students in the morning enter and exit from the main entrance.  We still have buses entering Kramer after 9:20 and the flow of traffic by the main entrance has been fine.  I have adjusted the morning times in the Arrival and Dismissal Document.

Thank you for your patience at dismissal.  We have almost tripled the number of vehicles that are picking up after school.  Each day dismissal was better.  Please know that if you are picking up after school, there may be a delay.

3rd Grade Testing

3rd grade parents, both remote and face to face students will be testing next week for the Ohio 3rd grade test.  Our face to face students will test at Kramer on Monday and Tuesday next week.  Our remote learners will go to THS and test next Wednesday.

Please see the 3rd Grade letter from our Curriculum Coordinator, Mr. Thompson.

Remote parents if you have questions please email Mr. Thompson at:

Face to Face Reminder

There will be no perfect attendance awards for this school year.  If your child has any symptoms, we want to be cautious and please keep them home.  Please make sure you are checking the symptoms and temperature of your child.

Please check your child’s temperature before school each day and check these symptoms.  Please note that a child with a temperature of 100˚ or Higher should not be sent to school and will be sent home from school.  This is our regular guideline.  Students should not return to school until they are fever free, without the use of medication, for 72 hours.  You must keep your child home if they have one High Risk Symptom or two Low Risk Symptoms.  If we all do our part to reduce the spread of Covid-19, we will be able to keep Kramer open.

High Risk Symptoms:

New cough

Difficulty Breathing

Loss of Taste/Smell

Fever (100˚ or higher)

Low Risk Symptoms:

Congestion/runny nose

Nausea/vomiting/diarrhea

Sore throat

Headache

Muscle weakness
