Transportation Update :

TSD Families:

 

It's that time of year when weather conditions and cold/flu season can really impact the school day and transportation services in Talawanda School District.  In the last several school days we have had no choice but to cancel 2 bus routes due to the bus driver/substitute driver shortage we are experiencing locally and in this region of Ohio.  We understand that this can pose difficulties for our families and can be very inconvenient.  As illness passes through our students and also our staff, we ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate these difficult circumstances.  

 

Please know that when we need to cancel a bus route we will always update you as soon as possible so that you have as much time as we can provide to make alternate transportation arrangements.  Please know that staff/driver illness is not reported until the early morning hours, but we will always be working to contact the families impacted as soon as we possibly can.  Today the district has made sure that any change to a bus route and or bus number has been added to the district website in order to provide families with all of the transportation information they need.
